Greensboro's finest communicator, Sandy Carmany, attempted to discredit the Rhino with Mitch's erroneous information.
She wrote: The decision to award additional payment was made in late June, 2006 -- well over a year after that third party review-- based on new information received during the intervening 14-15 months.
She wrote this because Mitch told her: I believe my obligation is to be fair and reasonable, and this is what I believe the City of Greensboro has done with regard to this matter...As you will be able to see from the information provided, the contractor in question clearly did significant work beyond the scope of the original agreement. While he initially did not have the appropriate documentation to prove the quantity and cost of this additional work, he was not paid until he was able to satisfy the staff that his request for payment was fully supported with actual documentation of costs incurred for the work beyond the initial Purchase Order or the $16,875 extension."
Here is the truth. The contractor did not submit new or additional information. The documents were reviewed again by Butch, Ben brown and Mitch and they illegally approved the payment.
The payment was not made because of documentation. Watch the video below.
Sandy reported this as well: “One additional point Mitch shared with me — Steve Kennedy (the consultant)told Mitch he formed his opinion based on nothing but a review of the contents of the memo written early in the process by Dyan Arkin” She added: “Mitch said based on what little was known at the time that memo and Kennedy’s report were written, that he too (Mitch) would have agreed with the findings then.”
She later wrote: "He told me Kennedy never visited the worksite but based his findings solely on his review of documents which included Ms. Arkin’s report. I should have been clearer in my post that the assessment was gleaned from several documents, not just the one."Here is her latest and most creative response. All,As the old song goes — “You say po-TA-to, I say po-TAH-to…” When one passes along information from another party, it’s often a matter of interpretation and I obviously didn’t interpret — translate — communicate 100% accurately what Mitch said to me in quick telephone conversation about the origin of Steve Kennedy’s report on the Willow Oaks issue. Unintentional, no sinister motives whatsoever — just like the children’s game of “Gossip” we all played at one time or another, the original message sometimes gets distorted (mis-translated) as it whispered from one person to the next. That apparently happened in this case (and no, Mitch did not bring this to my attention, I figured it out on my own.) That is, of course, a strong argument for Mitch/the city to provide their own response directly in one way or another and speak for himself.
All of Carmany's reporting was wrong. I do not care how great the blogging world thinks she is. She did a great disservice to the people by putting out false things and not investigating it herself. People like Sue and JW think this is good for the people. Never question Sandy is their motto. That is incredibly silly! Lay down with dogs, and all that, eh JW?

Ben, you got em running for cover now. Keep on pressing. dont let the naysayers get you down.
You and the Rhino are the most trusted word in the city!
Maybe some of these powers to be will be held accountable and get locked out like Wray was.
Ben, I discovered early in my blogging career that some local bloggers whether posting or commenting are simply to be placed in the category of "Insignificant". You named several in the above post. They are of no importance to anyone but themselves, and should be ignored except wjhen politness requires a BRIEF nod of recognition. Please do not waste your very valuable time concerning yourselfwith those who have not and will not open their minds to the truth of What Greensboro/Guilford had become over the years, You are reaching for the bottom rung when you have already climbed well above it. Sincerely, Brenda Bowers
