Captains like other city employees are expected to work 2080 hrs a yr or a typical 40 work week. However senior managers like captains are exempt employees which means they are not hourly employees. We do not pay exempt employees overtime and most work far more than the typical 40 hours a week. Any outside employment must be requested and approved through the chain of command.

I am unsure about the nature of your concern, as Mr. Speedling has answered your question. Captain Hinson has been an exemplary employee throughout my tenure and has represented the department well.
If your concerns linger from past allegations well publicized, please understand that none of those allegations were ever sustained and most were unfounded.

You sure about that? Just one half way house? You should consider using your very expensive public relations person more. You misspelled interest. Bellamy wasn't the sharpest knife in the evidence room either. That review happened in the past, so why does it count? Is your policy that only investigations that show your "go to people" in a good way from the past count? You really have no idea what happened in the past either. See you soon!!!!!!!!

Although there are public records to show that I was indeed involved with James Hinson, those are true yet at the same time, the stories printed about me (on my birthday I might add) in the Rhino Times were half truths from misguided sources and persuaded the readers to think I was something that I clearly am not. At NO TIME did ANYONE want to hear MY side! I tried numerous times to make my voice heard but my claims were deduced to "a woman scorned." I spent many years with James Hinson and the only thing I wish right now was that I never met him. I'm no where in the least bitter, either. James has proven to be a liar, untrustworthy, and unreliable almost the entire time we were together. He lied to me about his situation with Beverly. He lied to me while dating and cheated on me with whom is his now wife, Audrey. Up until New Year's, we continued to communicate most via phone or text messaging until I finally decided that he'll NEVER change, I'm sick of him referring to black people whom HE'S taken an oath to serve and protect as "these monkeys!" (he's said on the phone while working off duty) I've finally replied to a "Happy New Year, I miss you and will always love you" text from him asking him to no longer make contact with me. I've suffered tremendously by the hands of this man and at one time, I wanted to tell EVERYTHING that I KNOW starting from the grievance (which I helped him write) to his Master's Degree (Thanks to ME!) and all of his "outside PD activities." I'm just at a point where I've put it all behind me. With all of that said, I, as well as my family have been through an abundance of struggles; I am a breast cancer survivor as well as having to bury my mother less than 2 months ago. In kind, if you continue to find James morally corrupt, it's your right but I'm appealing to you to go forward without the expense of involving me. My family, (especially my children) friends, and loved ones don't deserve to be inadvertently publicly humiliated because I made the mistake of loving the wrong man.

I made the same mistake. I believed everythig he told me. I learned he can't tell the truth, can't keep his handsoff of women, can't be fair and can't be trusted. If he says its raining outside check instead of taking his word. I used to get the random I love you texts and the assortment of lies. He sees up to three women at a time (including his wife). I found out he always has the "Magic Power Coffee" on him. He is a sex addict and a compulsive liar. I am not going to name names but I will drop numbers. 336-303-6570
I too have been mislead by this man. I'm glad you two got the strength to leave him alone. Hinson talks sh!t about his wife's son, calls him fat and slow. Talks about her lesbian sister. His wife just recently got off welfare. (she was receiving the benefits at his maple street house) She still smokes marijuana. And she thinks that she has the nerve to turn her nose up at people. She probably knows about all his shenanigans but is willing to put up with it to stay in that nasty house with the steps falling apart. It's an upgrade for her 'cause she can't go back to her ex and can't go live with her alcoholic mother. I hope she finds some self esteem and realize that she is doing her son an injustice because he belittles him every chance he gets. He wants everyone to think that his grandson is his theirs so people won't think he's old. The next time you get a chance, go in his office and see the pictures of that bug eyed kid and her. I hate it for her. I hope she sees the light because he will use her and anyone he can to get what he wants.

He might have got away with crimes in the department but im sure there are lot of women that know he is corrupt in other ways. what he needs to do is go get checked for stds cuz he loves to use his mouth in more ways than speaking. i guess its too make up for that little penis.
the best thing he should do is to come clean with her and clean up his act. this means not sellin single moms a dream and laying up in their houses or taking them to out of the way places in high point and eden. that 1st person had alot of courage to leave her name but you betta watch ya back cuz he'll use his cronies to get back at you. trust. Remember what happen to his homeboyz Kevins old girlfriend. think that was an accident. i think not.
