Neighborhood Burglar Apprehended! Troublemaker helps police during chase!

It was the second time this week my street was swarmed by police in obvious pursuit of something.  Earlier this week, police and sheriff deputies occupied my block for more than two hours searching for a black male that was breaking into houses or a house.  The street was littered with cops and my neighbor and I were told to stay in our houses because the police were bringing a K9 through.  I really didn't think much of it.  I am used to being around a vibrant criminal environment.  I absolutely ignored the "stay in your house" request and got in my truck to go get my kids.  I got a few stink eyes from the Po Po as I rolled down my street.

The suspect was never apprehended, to my knowledge.  I did ask the police officer that was occupying the corner of Oak and McCormick if they had caught him and he said they had not.  He further stated that the suspect ran through me and my neighbors back yards and got away.

Today, I heard and saw the same type of police invasion happening on the corner of Oak and McCormick.  Of course, I decided to step outside.  Once I hit my driveway I saw a black male hauling ass through my neighbors back yard and he looked like he was headed to mine.  He had apparently shook the cops again.  My backyard provided a good escape for the other suspect earlier in the week and it could have been the same guy.  I knew nothing about the earlier suspect except he was black.    This time, I saw the suspect.  I got down in my best Lawrence Taylor stance and gave relentless pursuit.  Once he saw me, he changed his path by jumping a fence and entering another neighbors back yard.   I sprinted after him and jumped the fence as well.  I was gaining on him.  Maybe he was tired or maybe he was trying to think of a escape plan, for whatever reason, I was walking him down.  It could have been my blazing speed too.  As soon as I was within tackling distance a police car came from around the corner and blocked his path.  The suspect looked like he was going to try one last move, but instead he just layed on the ground and the police officer was able to handcuff him without any incident.  Who Are We?  GPD!

That dude will be back on the street in a few days but I bet he won't be running through the Troublemaker's yard again. How the hell did you get over that fence? That must have been quite a sight. Any videos?

Stop hatin' on GPD. Not every cop is out to get you. Keep chasing bad guys and they just might give you a badge. Hopefully, Hinson's.
