The Greensboro News and Record found that 5 people allegedly wearing KKK robes in Eden was news worthy but Greensboro cops breaking laws and going unpunished is not. Figures.
The KKK story is full of holes. First of all, how do you know they are actual KKK members and not just people pulling a prank? Nobody from the N&R talked to the alleged KKK members or even saw them. There was not even a report of what was on the signs the alleged KKK members supposedly held. Obviously, the demonstration didn't last too long and was apparently uneventful.
However, it is fact that Brett Davis hit a vehicle and left the scene and was not punished. You go try to do that and see if the cops let you off. Josh Wyles pointed a gun at a fellow officer and got 12 days suspended. You go try that and see if you don't get charged with assault by pointing a weapon.
Charles Cherry didn't break any laws and he was fired. Charles Cherry is black. Davis and Wyles broke laws, dodged criminal charges and kept their jobs. Davis and Wyles are white.
If any N&R reporters want to find out the details of the KKK rally in Eden they can call 336-432-0386 and find out who exactly was in Eden yesterday. If any N&R reporters want to write about this double standard thingy our police department is rocking, they should call Chief Miller at 336-373-2450.

The Kkk has nothing to do with my tax dollars,but police wrecking city equipment ,Misplacing 30 pounds of pot, pointing pistols at one another on city time, and the kicker, giving some quack a $125 and hour for opinions is! The Greensboro news and record is like the national enquior, you have to make your stories juicy and unbelievable so you can sell a paper or two to keep your advertisers.
I know one thing. The Parks Director, Greg Jackson was dismissed yesterday. No reporting from News & Record on that either. He was out of work Thursday & Friday, came back Monday, packed his shit up Tuesday and left without an announcement. Staff was informed yesterday at 4:30.
