The WWE came to Greensboro last night (read that contract HERE) to put on a live and in your face wrestling show. Greensboro enjoyed what it enjoyed in the 80's last night when we were the professional wrestling capital of the south. Whoooooooo!!
This Saturday at the Glenwood Rec Center, the CWF Mid -Atlantic professional wrestling company will put on a show. The last time the CWF came to Glenwood was 2/11/2012 and they put on a pretty decent show packed full of up close and personal rasslin! . They are a bit pricey for what they produce and many local wrestlers feel they are a good old boy network that is not very inclusive. However, they still can put on a pretty good act. But that act may become a problem because after reviewing their contract it is possible their security may be an act as well.
Their old contract is below and I plan on getting the new one for this Saturday night as well. In one of the emails sent to the city by CWF officials claims that their security has either worked in security/law enforcement and they have never had any issues in the past at any of their shows. This is where they need to break kayfabe.
When I first went to a CWF event, I noticed people in security shirts and one person was wearing a badge. At the end of the show, I saw a security person attempt to rough up a wrestler only to get jumped from behind and choked out by another wrestler. The security guy went into a rage and began throwing chairs and being very aggressive. I learned after the show that the badge wearing security person got the badge at a flea market and the choked out security person was a wrestler himself named "Beach Bum Tony." More to come...
